Adopt a Cat
Thank you for your interest in adopting a cat!
All our cats have been rescued and rehabilitated through our partner Animal Rescue Cambodia.
All our cats up for adoption, and are fully vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, spayed/neutered and tested negative for FIV/FeLV.
Adoptions are free of charge, but donations are appreciated and will be shared with our partner Animal Rescue Cambodia to help another rescue cat.
How to adopt a cat from us?
We are looking for forever homes for each rescued animal. We understand that some of you may be in Cambodia short-term, and in this case you will need to be confident that you can take the animal with you when you leave. Please research relocation procedures and costs prior to committing to an adoption.
Applicants must be at least 21 years old to apply. If you are under 21 a parent or legal guardian must attend the adoption interview and sign the adoption papers.
Ministry of Cat does not perform same-day adoptions, and we require one or more interviews before we will agree to adopt.
Step 1: Fill in adoption application
We want to find the right home for each cat, so we want to get to know you first. Please fill out the application form if you want to adopt a cat from us. You can apply online or fill out the form at the cafe.
We will contact you soon after you completed your application.
Step 2: Meet the cats
If you haven’t already, visit the cafe to spend some time with our cats at Ministry of Cat.
We will introduce you to the cats that fit your lifestyle. Spend some time to get to know their personality and make a connection.
Step 3: meet with us
Once we have reviewed your application, we will contact you to make an appointment to meet you at the cafe for an adoption interview. We will walk you through the adoption paperwork.
Following the interview, we will contact you if your adoption application is approved.
Step 4: Take your new family member home
Once we contact you to let you know your application has been approved you are free to come to sign the adoption contract and pick up your new family member.
Don’t forget to prepare your home for its new resident and bring your own cat carrier when you’re picking him/her up. We also have multiple cat supplies and cat carriers for sale at the cafe. Or you can order cat supplies online!
